GWI welcomes new students in Uganda project!

Graduate Women International (GWI) is delighted to add three new students to its project Teachers for Rural Futures. The project trains women students from rural communities in Uganda as qualified secondary school teachers in order to return to their communities as teachers, role models and advocates for the value of girls’ education. The project pilot began with two students in 2015 and recruited an extra three students this year. The GWI national affiliated association in Uganda, the Ugandan Association of University Women (UAUW), has been invaluable in identifying candidates and community engagement exercises.
