GWI recognises Türk Universiteli Kadinlar Dernegi’s mission to play an active role in providing leadership towards a contemporary and secular Turkey where women are equal, active and independent citizens and can initiate change. TUKD aims to increase the number of women university graduates in Turkey, develop fellowship/scholarship programmes for female university students, and contribute to enlightenment of the Turkish population.
