GWI delivers statement at Human Rights Council

GWI’s new Executive Director, Stacy Dry Lara, delivers GWI’s statement on ‘Safe access to education as a precondition to girls and women’s empowerment and prevention of violence against indigenous girls and women’ at the Annual Half-Day Discussion on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.   1. I listened to the GWI presentation, thank you for sharing the link and timing place where to hear Stacy. Human rights education as in the UN Declaration of Human Rights Education and Training means every article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on which the Declaration is based will be essential to operationalize if equality is to be achieved for women and girls and achieve the STGs., and all forms of violence is to be addressed and eliminated internationally in every country and against indigenous women and girls, against all women and girls.
