The presenters at this session clearly outlined actions taken in 5 diverse countries that promote education around gender equality and empowerment, all primary foci of the CFUW.
After a brief introduction women in 5 countries presented the establishment and management of museums on women and the social development and benefits brought about by the museums.
We are planning to take the messages from this session to local museums in a series of museum visits. By assessing the gender and racial equality messages of at least 7 local museums we will develop our own advocacy action plans in a new and important aspect of society.

Where we find room for improvement, we will meet with the museum staff to encourage them to remove outdated language and focus on messages of gender empowerment.
