Women/Education/UNESCO (1965, No. 12)

To reaffirm the intention of GWI to support, by all the means within its power, the educational, scientific and cultural activities of UNESCO, in particular the new programme, both short and long term, proposed by the Director-General which has the following aims:

  1. To promote the access of women to education at all levels,
  2. to encourage women to obtain higher qualifications, thus enabling them to hold the highest positions in the various fields of education, the national economy and of public life,
  3. to create a climate of opinion favourable to equal opportunity for all and to prepare appropriate legal instruments.
