GWI Statement to the Commission on Population and Development 44th session
January 2011 – GWI, together with 12 NGOs, submitted a statement to the Commission on Population and Development 44th session (11-15 April 2011). It recognized the importance of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development on, among other topics, sexual and reproductive heath, reproductive right and women’s empowerment. It supported the call for Governments to commit themselves to achieving the goals of the Programme of Action and promised to collaborate with them and to promote the full implementation of the Programme of Action through their programme and activities.
