That NFAs in countries where illiteracy exists be urged to take an active part in campaigns against illiteracy, and in particular, to motivate women to take advantage of opportunities available in literacy programmes in both rural and urban areas; in countries without the problem of illiteracy, NFAs are urged to assist needy countries with gifts of suitable reading material (books and magazines) for the newly literate, and also audio visual material for teaching.
