Canada: CFUW active in monitoring the UN 1325 (Open)

The Canadian Federation of University Women is one of the founders of a new civil society entity that will be working to promote and monitor the implementation of the National Action Plan on U.N. 1325.

This will be done by:

• Contacting women Members of Parliament to share information and promote awareness about U.N. 1325
• Contacting the Foreign Affairs Committee to share information and promote awareness about U.N. 1325
• Contacting government officials to tell share information and look for potential areas of collaboration.

These efforts will help build the political support needed to keep U.N. 1325 in the forefront.
