Advocating for Children (2001, No. 9)
The 27th Conference resolves that national federations and associations (NFAs) urge their respective governments, in order to promote the well-being of children:
- to take a multi-dimensional approach to:
- develop policies and the provision of services which are directed at strengthening individuals and families in the workforce and in the community, especially women with children;
- strengthen the capacity of communities to address existing social and financial inequities, poverty and marginalization; and
- to ratify and implement the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention on the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour (Convention 182).
