Nepal: Library and Reading Room for Girls and Women
Nepal Association of University Women
The reading room, in central Kathmandu, established in 1996, provides a place for women and girls to study and have access to books and publications, particularly those related to women’s issues and career development. Additional resources and materials are added whenever possible.
The reading room is staffed by members of the Nepal Association of University Women on a voluntary basis and is also used for meetings and training sessions of the association. Daily usage of the facility is increasing steadily and books are now also loaned out.
